ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE, ORLANDO: another marvel from Universal Studios
Since its inception in May 1999, Islands of adventure, Orlando has entertained people to the maximum level. It is considered to be one of the best theme parks in Orlando. Some visitors even say that the characters of Magic Kingdom, rides of Universal Studios, food of Holy Land and architecture of Gaudi’s Cathedral are overshadowed by the characters, rides, food and architecture of this adventure island. Islands of adventure, Orlando is a sister concern of Universal Studios. You will find that the admission prices and most of the information provided in both the places are almost identical. It houses five islands with numerous rides, full of adventure and fun. They are:
Marvel Super Hero Island
This area is paradise for thrill lovers and is patrolled by comic book characters and heroes. So, watch out for your favorite one.
Toon Lagoon
The theme of this area is comic-superhero as well. It is ideal for both adults and kids and focuses mainly on water-based rides.
Jurassic Park
This area is based on the concept of Jurassic park movies and houses some of the most thrilling rides and discovery-based exhibit.
The Lost Continent
This area is themed on ancient legends and myths. It contains three sections, medieval Europe, ancient Arabia and mythological Greece.
Seuss Landing
This island is based on the writings of Dr. Seuss and is geared mainly towards small kids.
Another island that is proposed to open in 2009 will be based on Harry Potter series with places like Hogs Meade Village, Forbidden Forest and Hogwarts Castle.
