Disney's Magic Kingdom

Disney’s Magic Kingdom: A complete family package of entertainments

The first ever theme park, which was built at Walt Disney World Resort, is the Magic Kingdom. It was opened for the public viewing on October 1, 1971 and was built & designed by WED enterprises. This theme park is one of the most visited parks and its popularity is spread across the globe.

After the demise of Walt Disney, the construction of Disney’s Magic Kingdom with its resort started in 1967. It was eventually inaugurated on October 1, 1971 with 23 attractions, which has now increased to 48. These 48 attractions are incorporated into seven themed lands.

The seven themed lands Disney’s Magic Kingdom include Main Street, USA, Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Mickey’s Toontown Fair. The main attraction of Main Street, USA is the Cinderella castle. It is only 189 feet tall but looks taller than they actually are, due to a technique called forced perspective. On the other hand, Adventureland is themed to bear a resemblance to the remote forests of Asia, Africa, South America, South Pacific and the Middle East.

In Frontier land visitors, you can taste wild flavors of life in the west with Tom Sawyer Island, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Country Beer Jamboree. Liberty Square is based on a town from American Revolution.

The main attraction of Fantasyland includes Peter Pan’s Flight, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and many more, whereas, Tomorrowland is based on the intergalactic conventions.

From the day Disney’s Magic Kingdom started its operation, it has entertained people and will continue to do the same in coming future.
